In Schlossmuseum Linz a new exhibition shows an huge selection of animals of the collection and gives insights into the art of preparation. Low light and dark colors create a dignified atmosphere for the unique and natural creatures. The most varied of animal specimens and skeletons are presented on black shelves and outline the aesthetics of a depot. In contrast, the laboratory – in which the taxidermists can be watched live at work – appears bright and completely white.
